Carrie took in another patient during my appointment. I thought it was a video appointment and sent her a message informing her of this. Her response to this was to reply with a standard format "no-show" letter. Meanwhile, I am speeding to get to my appointment before it ended because it was urgent. I arrived at the check-in desk 5 minutes before my appointment and approximately 10 seconds after that, she opened the door, made eye contact with me, ignored me, and called in another patient. During my appointment. When confronted about this, she evaded any accountability, argued with me, and tried to get me to believe that she had said things that she had not said. I broke down crying in front of her, and her response was "I know you don't want to talk to me about this, so I will set you up with a new provider". She did not try to empathize with me or console me. She never apologized. This all occurred at a time when I was just starting to process an extreme trauma.
