After experiencing sore throat, congestion, headache, and coughing for about six weeks, I saw Dr Close. He said I was just had inflammation because of all my coughing. He prescribed nasal spray, ibuprofen, and allergy medications to “dry me out”. Also home remedies, like liquids and getting plenty of rest. He said I needed to be patient, come back in TWO WEEKS if nothing changed. After doing the allergy meds for two weeks with zero improvement, I went to a different provider. After hearing about my TWO months of symptoms he said sinus infection or mono. Mono test was negative. He prescribed an antibiotic and said to come back in 2-3 days if I didn’t see a noticeable improvement. After only two days my sore throat was nearly gone. I’m feeling so much better. I understand the reluctance to give antibiotics for every little illness, but sometimes you actually need one. I could have been better and back to work weeks ago if I had NOT gone to Dr Close and been misdiagnosed.

He’s fine as long as you don’t need prescriptions
I took my daughter into Carson for some bronchitis symptoms. Her antibiotic prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. After multiple calls back and forth for 2 days, they finally told me that first it was sent to the wrong pharmacy and the second time they had no idea what happened. So 2 days after, she started her medication. I figured it was a one time things. A few weeks later, I had an appointment to also see him for bronchitis symptoms. My prescriptions were sent over immediately to my pharmacy. However, within a few minutes, I got an alert, saying there was a problem with one of them, and they had contacted the provider to clear it up. Today is now 5 days after my appt and this hasn’t been fixed yet. I have been very sick and the prescription that was never figured out, which was for an rescue inhaler, which obviously would be nice considering I went to the doctor for shortness of breath. I have called the doctors office 1-2 times each day since this started and nothing yet,

Great doctor I’ve always had good experience
I came in some symptoms of food poisoning. I need my electrolytes checked because I suffer from gastroparesis which lowers my electrolytes naturally.I spoke to assistant first she was very caring, asked me if my diarrhea was like coffee ground. I said no I’ve had c-diff before. I knew what it was. We’re asking. My significant other may be a meal and went out of town about 45 minutes after ate. I became very ill and had diarrhea for several days and I was concerned about my electrolytes being down

Excellent Treatment
Carson took great of me ! He recognized what might be wrong, ordered tests and got me referrals to get additional specific treatment. He was extremely patient and professional. I had been misdiagnosed by another P.A. but he saw the issue. He is very good at his job. I appreciated his patience especially when my employer kept making me get another note. I highly recommend him

I saw Carson Close multiple times in 2022, and he made multiple mistakes. He is negligent, and should be avoided. I had to tell him 3 separate times that I had gout, but on every subsequent visit they wouldn't check my uric acid (important for gout patients) and Carson would tell me that my gout "didn't get entered" into the system. But what took the cake was when he evaluated my kidney function. He told me that I had stage 2 kidney disease. A very serious diagnosis. I got a second opinion from another provider, and... I don't have stage 2 kidney disease. I don't even meet the diagnostic criteria for kidney disease. I have never felt the need to switch providers, or leave a review about a medical professional before, but people need to be warned. Carson Close is negligent and incompetent. Stay away.
