Unqualified
I saw Dr. Neuhaus for help diagnosing my then 5-year-old. He was displaying textbook ADHD, autism, and ODD behaviors. Someone with a Dr. in front of their name should be able to handle such an appointment, right? My son slammed her door. Typical ODD behavior. I thought 'aha! she will see the behavior we discussed and come to a conclusion.' However, as soon as that happened she completely dismissed us. She made us feel like my son was broken. She hissed, 'I have neighbors! We CANNOT be doing this!!' I'm sorry? Aren't you a childhood behavior specialist? I was also kept away from my son during this time, and she refused to explain to me what led to the door slamming. My son ran to me and was scared of her. I felt when he calmed himself, we could have continued the tests, but it was pretty obvious at that point that she was done with the evaluation process. She printed a list of generic resources and basically told us to leave. We ended up seeing Dr. Rich at OSU and my son is now thriving
