Dr. Catalina Avila, OD

After the tech examined me and sat me in a waiting area, I was told that Dr. Avila would be right with me. After a one hour wait I asked what was happening and was informed that 'Dr Avila is one of our busiest doctors.' When was I going to be seen?--no hint! At this point, as I have a job, I Ieft without seeing the 'busy' Dr. Avila.

Have seen Dr Avila for several years and have found her to be compassionate, competent, and thorough. Main issue I have now is scheduling an appointment as others apparently trust her as much as I do and available slots disappear quickly.. Highly recommend!

After randomly being assigned to Dr Avila through a walk-in appointment over five years ago I now wait for an opening just so I can see her. She found an eye condition her colleagues had overlooked and referred me to a specialist. She continues to monitor my vision changes an a regular basis and conveys her findings with compassion and clarity. She also takes into account my preferences and needs when prescribing my lenses and allows adequate time for the exam and answering questions. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a clinician who will provide an honest forthright assessment of her findings and may even gently hold your hand when breaking surprising unwelcome news.

She is very patience, caring and professional...My husband and myself have been seeing her almost 15 yrs..She is very good in what she is doing and I wouldn't change to another physician...
