Poor bedside manner. Without knowing anything about my activity level, my diet habits or my healthy history she called me obese. I’ve done body fat scans that takes into account bone and muscle density even though bmi might be high. As someone with high anxiety already going to the doctor makes it even worse and Catherine clearly didn’t make things any better. As I was sitting in the office my bp was high and my heart was racing and Catherine didn’t make things any better by telling me I needed to see a dietician or a cardiologist. For someone that had no heart history or family history of heart disease it freaked me out even more as no one had told me this before and it was totally out of line to question that I’m pediatric when last year all my labs were fine. I went home in a total state of panic that prevented me from sleeping that night.
