This woman is a beautiful, sweet, loving person, and reminds me of my grandmother. While I believe she has good intentions, she recommended that I realize I am an adult male and that life is not all that bad, and that my problems are not as bad as I think they are. I am trying to get help for Depression, and she did not seem to have the knowledge or tools necessary to help me. Depression is very real, and she suggested that I "talk my way out of it". That doesn't work with amputations, or Diabetes, or PTSD, or Schizophrenia, so I am not sure why she thought that it would work for Depression. The only good advice I got from her after 4+ visits, is that it is OK to treat yourself well, and to not fuss too much about treating yourself to a good meal. I wish her the best, but she is not the right counselor for me.

During the worst time of my life, she recommended I slap my wrist with a rubber band when I had bad thoughts and eat an M&M when I had good thoughts. I actually followed this ridiculous advice awhile with of course no good result. Fortunately, I found a wonderful therapist afterward!

I wouldn't recommend this woman for dog training. Instead of keeping communication professional, she makes everything very personal. She does not return phone calls or repeated emails to contact patient families.
