I went to see him with a list of symptoms written down so I wouldn't forget. Before I could finish listing everything I had going on he stopped me and asked what was bothering me the most at that moment. About a year later I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that had just barely spread. Maybe if he'd listened to all my concerns when I first went to him it would have been caught before it had spread. When I listed my symptoms to my oncologist, he listened and right away ordered a PET scan to see if it spread. Even though I was a younger patient, because he took the extra 2 minutes to listen, they caught that it had spread right away.
