Telehealth
He ignores questions you ask, talks over you, and insists that he knows better than past providers, not with his words but with his actions. If you have medical trauma with being heard or ignored, he will trigger it on the first meeting. He’s also very reckless and recommended that I, a trauma survivor read a very graphic (but very informative and good book) called The Body Keeps the Score by the third telehealth session. I had already read the book when it was suggested so it took me a moment to realise how dangerous a suggestion that actually was. That book can be extremely triggering and is NOT for everyone. It is scientifically sound and a valuable resource, a great book, just not great for someone with PTSD. If you’re looking for someone who is attentive, good at listening, and understands the value of past assessments…. Look somewhere else.

Answered all my (abundant) questions, helped me make an informed decision regarding medication, was there on short notice during a difficult time; The medication he prescribed has helped me immensely, and he has been patient and compassionate through this process.

Charles Melvin has recently prescribed medication that is contraindicated to my complex medical condition. He prescribed an anti siezure med for insomnia. He suggested I have a sleep study. I have already had two. Both concluding I have sleep apnea. I refused doing a third study, because I felt conclusions were accurate and a waste of insurance dollars. When I was recovering from surgery last summer and could not drive, He became annoyed that I cancelled several appointments. I wouldnt recommend
