Caring doctor
Dr Rubio is wonderful. He is professional and knowledgeable and I highly recommend him. I have been a patient for over thirteen years and he has helped me through some very difficult times in my life. He helped me with the loss of my child, a medical diagnosis, and an ending to my marriage and more. He is kind, thoughtful, caring, compassionate, attentive and a great listener. I appreciate him and all of his support. He has helped me so much.

Wonderful doctor!
For myself, I have seen Dr. Rubio for many years now. He has helped me progress so much I've referred many to him. I've been in the mental health field my entire life, as a patient, of course. I have been to many government funded facilities, private practices, etc. There are rarely any truly caring doctors. It's the sad truth. But there are also doctors like Dr. Rubio, dedicated, well educated, keeps up with the times. Doesn't make you feel judged or helpless. He's so encouraging and well read. I can't say enough about him. Highly recommend!

A caring and present therapist
I have been a patient of Dr. Rubio‘s for over 10 years. In that time he is helping me through some of the hardest passages of my life. I have always found him to be caring, present, and available even in times of emergency. I appreciate all the times hr worked me into his schedule when I was experiencing distress. He has always been professional and sensitive to my needs as a patient. I recommend him highly and I’m grateful for his care.

I would not recommend Dr. Rubio to anyone, and I would certainly not give him permission to privately discuss anything with family. Dr. Rubio was my therapist for two to three years. During my sessions with Dr. Rubio, he asked if I would allow him to contact my daughter, who was the main subject of our therapy. I verbally agreed to this, thinking it would be similar to family counseling, where I would be privy to the conversation. However, he later only gave me HER email replies, cutting of his comments to her. I felt it somewhat strange at the time, since he was my therapist, acting on my behalf, and with my permission. I felt I should have had full knowledge of the entire discussion, but I did push my request. It became clear, as time went by, that he had reinforced her feeling about me, for example telling her he agreed that I was judgmental. This was verified by information she sent me (a print screen of his email) I would never recommend as I feel his methods are questionable at best.
