Took my 84 year old mother to the ER due to COPD and Extreme Dehydration. Was discharged from the ER without consulting me of her condition (was in the cafeteria for a few moments to get a drink). My Mother was taking two different diuretics, when asked if she should continue, her response was"I am not changing anything". I do not know how a PA can make that type of judgement, a High School student knows that you do not continue a diuretic when a patient is dehydrated. Patients beware!
