Least Encouraging Provider I’ve Ever HAF
Christina was the second OB I had while in labor with my daughter. As soon as she took over she immediately started pushing interventions. I was at 6 cms and coping well. She told me I would not be able to handle transition and we should brake my water. When I resisted she acted like I was inconveniencing her. She did not seem to care about my birth plan or wishes. I felt bullied into having a membrane sweep and later into an epidural and breaking of my water. I find myself constantly thinking back to my delivery feeling depressed about how I was treated when I was most vulnerable.

I was HONORED to have had Christina as my NurseMidwife. When I had concerns in pregnancy, she was always there for me. I felt listened to w/ great empathy and compassion. She made my husband and I laugh at every checkup (and we really needed that!) She helped us navigate a very difficult birth. She stayed up for over 24hrs to see our son arrive, even though her shift had ended. She helped me resolve some billing issues w/ the hospital several months after the birth. She is wise beyond her years!

She helped deliver my baby and made me feel so comfortable in a stressful time since my baby was early. I had complete trust in her care and knowledge. I’d highly recommend her for a provider. She is easy to talk to and willing to discuss different treatment options.

I have seen better providers at Lovelace. She knows what she does as a midwife but she needs to be more tactful with her patients. I felt I was interrupted at different times and that she was getting desperate with me. I didn't feel she showed some empathy when I was feeling anxious about my options in treatment. If you choose to go to Lovelace I would recommend Cathleen Hewlett-Masser, Tambra Bensch or Dorothy Beach instead.
