Chris treated my Depression in 2014 for a year and was professional yet friendly and collaborative and always helped me reflect on what I was experiencing! 5 stars and call him for help right now!

I'm not sure what the negative review was for on here, but having been treated by Dr Van Kleeck for 3 years now, I suspect there's more to the story. Dr Van K has been a miracle find for me. I'm no stranger to therapists, and had to go through my fair share of them before finding Dr Van K. Here's the difference: empathy and sincerity. When you talk to a lot of therapists, you can sort of sense the disingenuousness in their tones and responses. A lot of counselors have very cookie-cutter responses and approaches to treatment. There's either no real attempt at connection, no critical thinking, some sort of obvious personal bias to your situation, etc. With Dr Van Kleeck, you can speak freely and sense that he's really listening and trying to assess your situation from both a human AND psychological standpoint, rather than scanning for DSM-V symptoms and spitting out prescribed responses. I would recommend Dr Van K to anyone who's ready to face themselves and do the work to grow.

First session he said he could definitely help me. Sent me home with research homework to go over in our second session. Second session was as if he was a completely different person. Didn't even seem to remember who I was at first, and didn't bother going over the research I did between sessions. Told me he couldn't help me and to call another therapist.
