Terrible
I wouldn't even give one star if possible. I do not recommend seeing this APN. I made an appt to establish with her and was looking forward to it as I see other Jefferson doctors who are fantastic. I left my appt feeling dismissed, disrespected and angry. She was unpleasant as soon as she stepped in the door. When I would tell her my symptoms, she was quick to blame it on 'anixety.' Even after I explained that my anxiety is well controlled by my other doctor, she still continued to seem like my symptoms were related to that. I have been chronically ill my entire life, have seen many doctors, and I have never felt so dismissed before. She gave me referrals to other drs. That's was about the only good thing out of the appt. I truly felt like she read my chart, saw that I was a young women who is prescribed one psychiatric medication and labeled me by that. Out of all my doctors, she was the only one hung up on that fact. I will not be back and I will NEVER recommend her services.

It was a terrible experience. Very similar to the other reviews. The provider’s demeanor came across as dismissive, which made it difficult to feel heard and understood. When she first walked in she said her name(didn’t look towards me) and then said “What do you need?” I was never asked that before by a medical provider. Her demeanor and attitude was not welcoming at all. I explained to her why I was there. My lower calf had a small lump for about 5 months and within the last week it spread out and was a little swollen. Since I am taking estrogen, I was a little concerned it could be a blood clot. If not, I wanted to know what was causing the swelling. Clarissa showed absolutely no interest in what I was saying. She looked at my leg and I showed her my other leg to compare it. She went back over to the computer screen and that’s when I said i would like to have an ultra sound to rule out a clot, especially because I take estrogen, then her response was, and it causes clots, I am well aware of that. She said she didn’t see any swelling and she doesn’t think it’s a clot I asked her , then what do you think it is? And her response was “ I don’t know, that’s just how your leg is. When the medical assistant checked it out she acknowledged she saw some swelling. I was disappointed with the level of courtesy shown during my interaction with the provider. The office staff were welcoming and courteous. The one medical receptionist took the time to schedule my ultrasound for that day and pull up the location online.

WORST MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL EVER. do not see this woman!!! she’s is condescending and belittling to the point where she will not let you get a word in between her condescending, belittling comments, and conversation. it was so bad I had to tell her that I wasn’t arguing with her in case she thought that& maybe that’s was why she was talking to me the way she was, but she clearly let me know that she “wasn’t arguing with me either” and apparently you should go to an urgent care before you go see her even though she’s in a PCP office. she’ll also ask you questions and then answer them with whatever she wants for instance “ when’s the last time you menstruated?” my reply was “I don’t I’m on birth control” and she says “ so you might be pregnant” yeah sure Clarissa, whatever you want. if you read this may I hope your pinky toe catches every table you walk by and may your pillow stay warm on both sides &&May your tea be too hot when you receive it, and too cold when you remember it is there

Rude and Unprofessional
What a useless visit. Extremely rude and not knowledgeable on anything I had going on. Said she called in medication, go to pharmacy and there’s no record of it. Called the practice and they confirmed she did not put anything in AND already that she left for the day so there was nothing they could. This is by far the worst nurse I have ever encountered. If you care about your health, don’t see this woman.

This doctor walked in the room rude and unfriendly. One of the main reasons I showed is because I wanted to be prescribed anxiety medication again. I told her that I think I could be pregnant due to a missed period and symptoms. She went on to tell me I was only a day or two late and the test would not have accurate results. I’m truly not sure if she is aware that pregnancy tests are pretty accurate after you miss your period, luckily I was aware so the misinformation she gave me did not bother me at all. I took a pregnancy test there, and indeed am pregnant. Would have been nice to have my experience that day not be shared with a rude experience with a doctor. She told me over and over that I was “only two days late,” and I ended up still being pregnant anyway. I’ve had too many strange and rude experiences with Jefferson doctors, im planning on changing my primary care because I am just not comfortable continuing allowing Jefferson to handle anything health wise in my life.

DO NOT GO TO CLARISSA MONCKTON. On my first visit I asked if she could write up blood work for me and she asks me “well what kind do you want” YOU are the physician. Then today I went for one thing. Before she came into the room I heard her talking about me. She said is my last patient in the room. They said yes. She said who is it. They said she’s a 22 yr old and then she goes UGHH. Then she asked “Is she ….” I couldn’t hear what she was saying. Then she comes in the room fake nice. I ask her for a letter stating that my dog is for emotional support she goes “well who am I writing it for ??” With an attitude. After the back and forth she says she’ll write the letter later. I had to ASK to be put on medication for my anxiety. Then she reverts back to fat shaming me. Telling me you’re too young to be this big. Then refers me to a bariatric surgeon. I only came for a letter. This is the second time she’s fat shamed me. I’m over it.

I had an appointment in which this "nurse practice " was late and did not apologize for her tardiness. Then on top of this she was very rude and began to interrogate me on the prescriptions I was taking. She was very rude, condescending, and lacked medical professionalism. I do not recommend see her at all unless you enjoy being treated like this. Jefferson Health System....please do better. This individual was acquired during the South Jersey acquisition. I recommend that vetting process be conducted. The individual is definitely not worthy of your standards.
