Dr. Cody Martucci, DPT

I am so fortunate that Cody Martucci assessed my needs at my first appointment with him, just two days after knee replacement surgery. For the next 8 weeks, most of my appointments were with him. I cannot say enough about Cody’s knowledge, professionalism, compassion, and high standards. Outstanding! I feel that he set up a program for me that helped me progress through my recovery, starting with simple exercises and continually adjusting the challenge and range of both strength building and flexibility movements. He always listened, always showed compassion, and always encouraged me. I have recovered well and owe that to Cody’s guidance and dedication. Although I am finished with PT, I continue to do the exercises he taught me at home and am feeling great! I have no pain, no stiffness, and no weakness in my new knee joint. I owe that to Cody and I thank him immensely for the time he spent with me. As I said, I am so fortunate that Cody was my physical therapist!

I saw Dr. Martucci at the Valatie Office. This has been the best PT experience I have ever had. Cody worked with me helping me to manage and control my pain, so as to maintain maximum function and mobility. He is an expert in utilizing the McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. This physical therapy approach is used to assess and manage musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the spine and extremities. His objective in my treatment plan was four-fold: 1: To reduce pain and improve function 2: To encourage self-care and empower me to manage my condition 3: To reduce the need for medication and surgery 4: To be an effective treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, and shoulder pain Dr Martucci did an excellent job in helping me to reach these goals.He took a personal interest in me, was kind, caring, and professional, all the way.I highly recommend Dr. Martucci, the best around.

Cody is an asset to his profession. I had 2 horrible falls that injured me and caused me to need physical therapy 2 different times. I broke my finger the day after Christmas last year and had surgeries to repair it. Cody was one of the physical therapist who worked with me. He clearly explained the process to me and was extremely knowledgeable and caring in his field. When I needed physical therapy for my shoulder that was in bad shape Cody was extremely helpful to me. For both injuries he was a key to my recovery. Cody is an extremely caring, knowledgeable therapist. More importantly to me, he was extremely kind and personable. He pushed me to work harder and truly kept me motivated. I also appreciate the fact that he listened to what I said and and never made me uncomfortable in any way. No matter how much pain I was in, he encouraged me to keep going. I would happily recommend Cody and the Columbia physical therapy staff for anyone in need of PT.

In 2021 I was having incredible sciatica pain that was really affecting my active lifestyle. Climbing stairs, getting in and out of cars, or just enjoying every day activities became a nightmare. Then I was once again referred to Columbia PT and Dr. Cody Martucci came into my life. (I was treated there in 2010 after a total right hip replacement). From the moment we met his compassionate demeanor and sense of purpose took over and I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Cody inspired and encouraged me to work hard and do my very best. Some days it was extremely difficult but I knew it was for my benefit. I attended every session that I could and in the end it paid off beautifully for me. I was actually very sad when I realized that I would no longer be working with him. Now as I return to use the exercise equipment I’m reminded when I see him just how kind and friendly he was, and still is, to me.

Lengthened my visits to twice weekly during an abbreviated period, encouraged me with periodic assessment progress, added strengthening exercises once approved by my surgeon, provided homework to maximize my therapy, and assessed my golf swing as I prepare to return to golf practice and play!

Former collegiate athlete here, who previously has had 2 successful knee reconstruction surgeries (ACL, MCL, Meniscus) and rehabilitation on the back. I recently needed to rehab my good knee after a fracture and 2 torn ligaments. I also recently moved up to Columbia County and was very nervous to find PT up here vs HSS in NYC where I previously had all rehab done. Cody is incredible! He’s extremely attentive and understands athletes. I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable he is and I have nothing but positive feedback to share. I regained my strength and feel confident that both knees (plus my legs in general) are now stronger than ever and can get back to work. Highly recommend Cody if you need to rehab anything!

Dr. Cody was an excellent Physical Therapist. He was kind and caring. He was focused and confident in his recovery plan. I always felt that Dr. Cody cared about healing my back pain,which inspired me to work harder.The exercises were focused on areas in my body and the end result was no pain and greater strength and tone.

Cody is easy to work with- gives excellent instructions and follows through to make sure exercises are being done correctly. The whole experience is professional...but not intimidating- Obviously knows his stuff...and is eager to help you improve...worked well with me and was frequently asking for feedback - esp how the exercises felt...and if there was any discomfort...was supportive and encouraging...this was my first time doing Physical Therapy and Cody made it worthwhile...I would recommend him to anyone

Cody was simply amazing to work with. Torn rotator cuff was giving me BIG pain & limited mobility. Cody was patient, realistic with expectations, supportively encouraging about ‘homework’ & new exercise to get me back on track. To watch him work & interact with other patients was inspiring. As a former director with human services in CO, I was impressed with Cody’s bedside manner, time management abilities, presence with each client & stellar competency. Managerial leadership could be in his future if he so desired! Thank you Cody for bringing me back…and while I hope to never have to return, I know where to look if needed.
