My insurance sent me this provider's information. I requested a 5-10 minute conversation with the provider prior to making an appointment and was told "that is not our policy." I have been in pediatric healthcare for years and was surprised this doctor could not take 10 minutes of her precious time to speak to a mother about her son. As a provider myself, I will always speak to a parent initially to answer questions and attempt to establish rapport to build trust---regardless of whether or not I'm being paid. I will not move forward with this referral, very poor initial experience.
