Finding good mental health care can be challenging for many reasons (e.g., scheduling, provider/patient compatibility, location, etc.). So… I feel very grateful to have not only found Courtney, but to have been working with her for a number of years. She’s the best! She is compassionate, trusted, professional, flexible, knowledgeable, a great listener, and encouraging. One of the most powerful things about working with her is that she does not give up on me when I want to give up on myself. The support and guidance is instrumental to my growth and success. In our weekly sessions, we can set realistic expectations, assess situations, cope with emotions, track goal progress, etc.

I started meeting with Courtney to begin to hold myself accountable for my own mental health and in the process Courtney has not only helped me do that, but she’s helped changed my life for the better in so many ways x Always listening with an empathetic ear and providing helpful actionables, she has helped me turn a lifetime of anxiety in an entirely new direction. I’m incredibly grateful for her kindness, attention to detail and her uncanny ability to actively listen. I cant thank her enough for all she’s done and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

I started working with Courtney this past January after my therapist of 8+ years retired. Following our "introduction" session, I felt comfortable to proceed with working with her. Courtney is an amazing therapist. She really listens to what I have to say and provides positive feedback. She also finds a delicate way to deliver information that may be more sensitive to receive. I feel 100% comfortable being vulnerable with her, which will allow me to experience a lot of growth as our sessions continue. I found some of the other reviews surprising because she has never cut me off just because time was up, and she had very open communication about the reminders and payment schedule and inquired if it works for me. I am so relieved to have found her -- especially since I was with my previous therapist for so long.

Courtney and I worked together for just over a year. She provided support, a listening ear, a fresh perspective and spiritual guidance too! I’m so grateful for working with her and should I need support in the future I will reach out without hesitating.

I came to Courtney in 2015 for a relationship issue. I've stayed with her since because she has helped me overcome so many things. She is a great coach, she helps you find strength to make healthy decisions and she gives you insight on what is and isn't working. You can be honest with her with no judgement, she is supportive and kind. I highly recommend her for whatever issue you are challenged with.

Since I started working with Courtney two and a half years ago, I have learned so many valuable and effective ways to help me manage my anxiety. She has helped me reframe how I think about issues that used to get me stuck in negative thoughts cycles; now I have a whole mental toolkit to use when I find myself feeling overwhelmed or troubled by certain thinking. I also think she has encouraged me to be a more self-respecting and measured communicator in my relationships with others. I have appreciated her practical approach - from the first session I have felt like I’m working with a human who isn’t judging me, but who really wants me to feel my best.

Ms. Murphy is a highly trained professional. More importantly, she is caring and patient and walks you through your most difficult experiences. What I appreciate most about Ms. Murphy is her accessibility. Even if you don’t have a scheduled session, she will find time for you. I’ve been seeing her for over four years and she is my rock.

I worked with Courtney for five years before a change in insurance forced me to find a new therapist. During that time, I feel that I grew tremendously as a person. When I was out of work, she lowered the cost of our session. I will admit, that some of the issues raised by others are true. I found that when I brought these issues to her attention, it improved our working relationship. I believe that if you feel that there is an issue with her approach she will work with you to resolve it.

Treated therapy like a business deal. Every time I came in she demanded the money immediately, before I even sat down. Cut me off mid-sentence the exact minute the session was over. Ended up giving me more anxiety. She would interrupt me randomly. Seemed to care more about her receiving money than how I was as a patient.

I've been a client for over 5 years. Courtney has a great ability to adjust her style to the needs of the client. Her office is warm and inviting. I would highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a good, client centered professional.
