Dr. Dana Grote, PHD

I was referred to Dr. Grote during my search for help in diagnosing my suspected ADHD. I am almost 50 and being diagnosed at my age can prove difficult, but it wasn't for Dr. Grote. She had a plan and executed it well. Her methodology is sound, careful and analytical. She has a wonderful 'bedside manner' and I would recommend her for anyone looking for help in this area!

Dr. Grote recently evaluated my 15 year old daughter for ADHD. We had a very positive experience with Dr. Grote. My daughter is typically shy and guarded but she felt very comfortable with Dr. Grote. Dr. Grote is warm and has a calm energy that my daughter really responds to. When it came time to share the results of the evaluation, Dr. Grote was extremely thorough and explained everything in an easy to understand way. I especially appreciated the time that Dr. Grote devoted to the process. I never felt rushed and felt like she made every effort to get to the root of my daughter's challenges.

I would highly recommend Dr. Grote! We were referred to Dr. Grote by a high school that my son will be starting as a freshman in August. The school requires an updated evaluation (his last one was in 3rd grade). She was very pleasant to work with and made my son feel very comfortable with the process. The report was exceptionally thorough. In addition, Dr. Grote worked directly with the learning services team at our high school and guided us through the process. We had two meetings with just her and I to talk about my concerns and thoughts. She worked directly with our high school and communicated to them what we both felt my son needed as a freshman. I want to add that we have been to other psychologists in the past and were very familiar with reports, assessments, and evaluations. I have seen a lot in my line of work (as a social worker) and Dr. Grote is exceptional and extremely thorough. I can't say enough - highly recommend!

Dr. Grote recently completed an ADHD assessment for one of our children and it was an excellent experience. I found Dr. Grote to be very professional and detail-oriented in her assessment, explaining the testing results in a way we could easily understand. She took the time to speak to all of the contacts we recommended she speak to, even going back at the end of the process to touch base with another teacher that we thought would have valuable input. Once the testing was completed and a final report issued, Dr Grote explained all of the options available to help our child as well as initiated the creation of a plan with our child's school counselors. Our child also very much liked working with Dr Grote during the assessment process.

Dr. Grote assessed me for ADHD. I work in the mental health field, and I was incredibly impressed with the thoroughness of her assessment methodology. I was anxious about the assessment, and she immediately put me at ease with her kindness. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking treatment.

I highly recommend Dr. Grote; she is professional and knowledgeable. She assisted me in obtaining the accommodation I needed for medical school board exams. Dr. Grote is flexible with scheduling meetings and provides continuous support throughout the entire process.

Dr. Grote was extremely helpful in helping me get my accommodations past for steps 1 and 2. Without her assistance, I would not have been able to receive the accommodations that I needed. She took the time to be thorough in her evaluation, demonstrating documented deficiencies. With her assistance, I was able to pass medical school and become a doctor.

Our experience with Dr Grote was really wonderful. The process of picking a provider for a psychoeducational assessment was really overwhelming me - both picking the therapist and figuring out how we would financially make it happen. Dr Grote made everything really simple for us and offered a manageable payment plan right off the bat. She was very warm and caring and my daughter didn't mind completing the testing with her. Would not hesitate to work with her again or refer her to family and friends.

Dr. Grote was very accommodating for our schedule and she is very willing to help our son be his best self. We had a great experience and received a thorough assessment.

Working with Dr. Grote to diagnose my child's ADHD and dyslexia was easy and straightforward. She listened to our concerns and explained each step of the process to us. The final report was extremely thorough (our pediatrician even noted this), and was what we needed to find the right support for our child. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Dr. Grote. She is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, approachable, and thorough. Dr. Grote is detailed oriented and walked us through the process every step of the way. Our son felt very at ease with Dana, and she performed a series of interviews and tests over different days that allowed her to create a Psychoeducational Evaluation Report on his Cognitive Ability, Academic Skills, Oral Language, Attention and Executive Functioning, and Personality and Social Emotional Functioning, which ultimately concluded with a recommendation. This report is now being used by our school to develop a Learning Services Plan to support our son through High School. We are grateful to have found Dr. Grote and would encourage everyone to use her as part of their process of determining the best way to support their child going forward.

Dr. Grote performed a psychoeducational evaluation for me. She has a warm demeanor, is responsive to concerns, and accommodating. I needed a quick turn around for testing accommodation purposes and she met the task with grace. She worked hard and expeditiously, but did not sacrifice thoroughness nor accuracy. I would highly recommend Dr. Grote to anyone in need of a psychological evaluation or therapy.

Dr. Grote is one of the most wonderful, caring, and detail-oriented psychology professionals I've ever met. She really takes the time to get to know not only your medical/educational history, but also gets to know you as a person. I really appreciate that her evaluations are thorough, addressing all your concerns and needs, plus, she writes a detailed evaluation and takes the time to review your results with you at length. If you or your child needs a psychoeducational evaluation for diagnostic or ADA accommodations purposes, Dr. Grote is the best. I can't thank her enough for how much she helped me.

Highly recommend Dr. Grote! Initially my school suggested I see her. From the start, she was transparent about costs and actually offered to help be find a provider my insurance would cover. However after looking around, Dr. Grote and I realized it would be the same if I had her do my testing. Plus, she had been so helpful and kind, I already felt comfortable with her. Dr. Grote was able to get me in quickly, even with my busy school schedule. During the psychoed. testing, Dana was very professional but also personable and down to earth, which made the testing much more enjoyable. After the testing she reached out to my partner for more background and had a very in depth and considerate discussion with him, which showed me that she really did care about helping me. Once Dana had the results, she sat down with my partner and I to discuss everything in great detail. Thanks to Dana, I was able get academic accommodations and start medications which helped improve my quality of life. :)

Dr. Grote completed psychoeducational evaluations for two of our children this fall and I can't recommend her highly enough. She was wonderful to work with - kind, caring, empathetic, and communicative -- and, most importantly, she made our children feel very comfortable and at ease through what could have been a stressful process.

I can not begin to highly recommend Dana Grote enough for all of her services. She leaves no stone unturned, she is incredibly thorough, she is kind, warm, empathetic, and approachable to not only adults but to children as well. The psychological assessment that she did for my son was impeccable and she did not miss one area to cover. She listens, she cares, she understands, and she is exceptional. Not only do I highly recommend her, I highly enjoyed working with her as well.
