Great Provider
I saw Dr Raker for over a year. I made more progress with my mental health with him than I have in 20 plus years of therapy. He listened ro what I had to say and asked insightful follow up questions. He helped me find new ways to deal with chronic pain, PTSD, and anxiety. My lifestyle is a bit outside of the normal and I never felt like he was judging me. The only times I had misunderstandings with him were when I was not able to effectively communicate what I was thinking or feeling. The only reason I haven't continued to see him is that he is unable to take my current insurance.

I've been seeing Daniel Raker for about a year. As a male, and there is sometimes a stigma with seeing therapists, I have always felt comfortable expressing my feelings. He has helped me tremendously with anxiety and we have talked through a multitude of things. Always respectful and listens well. Never had an issue.

Just walked out in tears and cut my appointment short after seeing Dr. Raker for the first time today. Never have I ever felt more unheard, talked over, judged, minimized, and belittled in my life and I’ve seen a lot of therapist throughout my lifetime. Had I seen these previous reviews I never would have made an appointment with him to begin with. The man has zero empathy, zero compassion, and a horrible bedside manner. This man should find a new field of work. I did voice my concerns with the office manage t foothill psych in chino and I felt listened to after filing my complaint that they would escalate the matter and keep an eye on this guys practice.

Horrible therapist and even worse human being. He told me I was faking my problems on the first appointment. He accused me of being disrespectful for looking at the floor because I have trouble with eye contact. I walked out crying and I’m scared of receiving help from another therapist because of this horrible experience. He totally belittled me.

Worst therapist I have ever experienced. After the initial consultation he refused to see me or refer me to anyone. He judged me without getting to know me and told me to go to AA instead of seeing any therapist. He also wrote down several things to lookup in the DSM book. & all this is after I told him I just got out of the hospital for attempted suicide.
