Darlene is wonderful, she has saved my marriage, helped me process grief, understand my hush & kids AND then to help me. As a Christian based therapist she can help with biblical references to problems and challenges you to help yourself. She doesn't just tell your what to do and send you on your merry way. She gives evidence based, real life tools to deal with life's struggles.

Went for marriage counseling. She would give us exercises to try at home to learn to communicate better. My husband never wanted to do them. When we would come back to talk about it, she would completely ignore the fact that he refused to even try the exercises. She would instead tell me I needed to do more. I asked why we weren’t addressing the fact that my husband refused to do the exercises with me. She stared at me with a blank face. Another time, during an exercise she told us not to use “You statements.” We both tried our best during an exercise in the office. I did not use any. But she was sure to call me out on the lack of details I provided in my statement. When it was my husbands turn, she praised him, even after he used several you statements. I asked her why she didn’t correct his you statements and she said “oh I didn’t realize he said any.” My husband is the one that called to make the appointment for counseling, therefore he was the primary person listed for treatment. Beware that she will focus her sole energy on that person. Not the spouse. I feel she favors the male as well. She treated my husband like a 5 year old child that needed to be coddled. Not an adult that is capable of taking responsibility for his actions.
