Dr. Darrin Peterson, OD

I went in to see this doctor and when I was seen everything was normal. The staff was nice and tended to us pretty quickly. Once I get to my eye exam that when things become problematic. I am told that my vision has not changed in 4 years. I am told that my eyes will adjust with the contacts. I am unable to see far way with the contacts and my night vision significantly declined. I return the next week and am greeted by a rude staff member who pulls me into the room. She then gets my information and when she exits the room I can hear her talking with another person in the office about me. When she returns to the room she takes me to the sink to wash my hands and then proceeds to tell me I don't have astigmatism. During the exam Dr. Peterson seemed annoyed I had returned and did not want to check my vision again and only wanted to change the brand of contacts. I do not recommend anyone see him. He is not a good optometrist.

Appointment was with Dr. Peterson. Most intelligent, thorough, attentive eye exam I've ever had. Had specific concerns with detail work and close reading, and eye fatigue resulting from those. Also wanted to continue using distance prescription for improved night driving (better than 20/20). He took the whole picture into account and issued two prescriptions, one standard, one for a line bifocal for close work to reduce fatigue. It's relatively rare to find a doctor of any kind who listens this carefully, pays attention, gets everything, addresses concerns. Just cannot recommend highly enough. Staff pleasant and professional. No wait for scheduled appointment. I've taken my teenage daughter in twice, and short to no waits on those appointments too.
