Dr. David Herzog, PSY.D

I saw David for several months before I decided it was not a good fit. I found that he was not particularly insightful, nor was he an especially good listener during our sessions -- two qualities which would seem important in his line of work. His practice emphasizes many mind-body frameworks, utilizing tools such as controlled breathing, EMDR, and other mindfulness exercises. These practices by themselves certainly have potential to help patients work through challenges, trauma, etc. However, it felt that often David would rely on them as a crutch when he had little else to offer. David's professional and administrative practices also seem suspect. For starters, he missed our first appointment. When we were finally able to connect, he simply said he forgot. Yet, when I cancelled our final appointment two days before we were set to meet, he charged a hefty fee on top of his already exorbitant prices. Overall, this was a negative experience and I would not recommend David to anyone.
