A few years ago I found out my ex-husband was being unfaithful. In an attempt to try and save things we went to see David. Honestly his counseling is what ultimately ended our marriage. He still teaches the co-dependency model and DOES NOT understand betrayal trauma. His counseling enabled my husbands addictions and abuse and he disregarded the harm that had been caused to me as a wife. My ex-husband was the one who wanted to fix things and I was willing to try, but after going to see David he decided he was justified in his unfaithfulness and ended up leaving me, our newborn and two year old. David torn my family apart... I wish that someone had warned me ... his counseling to my husband and myself left our family with deep wounds. Since then my ex-husband has told me repeatedly that he wished he wouldn’t have listened to David and that we wouldn’t have gone to him for help. The damage is already done though. I hope this word of warning can help save someone else’s marriage though.
