Overpriced and rude
I felt as though the appointment was rushed, he really didn’t care about me as a person and just wanted to get to the next person. Glasses are way overpriced and they try to talk you into getting things you don’t want. I said numerous times that I didn’t want contacts, he just kept pushing them. They must make their biggest profit from retail items. Overall he was pushy, rude, arrogant and in a hurry. I was with the doctor all of probably 10 minutes and they charged my insurance an insane amount then had me write a check for another $500 something. Truly ridiculous and I’ll never go back to this office.

Helped me immensely with my dry eyes
I've literally seen every other eye doc on the peninsula and finally found the help I needed from this doctor.

My kids and I have been seeing Dr Karpik for about 3 years now and I am extremely happy with the care we receive! He is personable and friendly, knowledgeable and thorough, and explained everything succinctly.

Wait times are always long every time. Prices very high. It took months to get my eye issue taken care of. Doctor wouldn’t listen to me or explain why he was doing things. Didn’t want to give me my complete contact prescription until I had my lawyer call him. Had me come in multiple times and made me feel I was being held hostage for service. He prescribed drops but I had to keep asking for refills. The staff were very nice. Customer service by the doctor was terrible.

I have experienced some chronic symptoms that were overlooked by other doctors, but Dr. Karpik easily diagnosed the issue and the treatments worked. While this a a doctor review site and not one for products, I do love my glasses from that office as well and they are the most comfortable pair that I've worn. Thanks for your help with those Madi!

I cannot believe how expensive this shop is compared to others and the services and frames are not even as good. Drs are nice, but I don’t think they are worth the extra amounts they charge.

Charges are excessive, wait times are long even with appointments, follow through is poor, and they don’t even have the frames they sell in stock - but they won’t tell you that up front.

Dr. Karpik and his office staff do not seem to know what they are doing as they keep telling us that they are not responsible for xyz The prices charged for services rendered are outrageously high, service is poor, difficult to talk with, they have a male assistant who acts like he's the doctor and does not identify himself. Health History and chart notes are inaccurate. A complaint to the Board of Optometry, BBB and City of Kenai are being considered.
