Nearly 2 years with Dr Ohotnicky for Type 2 Diabetes & Insulin Resistant PCOS. followed every advice. blood sugar never lowered, weight never lowered. Metformin caused severe stomach issues. Stopped it and told there's "nothing else we could put you on". After 3 visits of "nothing more we can do", I said I'll look for another Dr, no point continuing visits. THEN he suggested a medication, only after suggesting going elsewhere? Asked if I'm not seeing results because we're treating as a Diabetic, not Insulin Resistance from PCOS... He said "it's all the same, we treat it all the same. I've been doing this 40 years." I got a referral for Dr at Uconn. I was told by 2 Drs, there IS a difference in Insulin resistance and Diabetes, did tests no one else had done. In 2 months gotten more results with Uconn than with CHH. My A1C from 7.6 to 5.8, started losing weight, finally got pregnant (a 10 year struggle). Dr. Ohotnicky needs to update his "40 years" of education he threw in my face

I've seen him multiple times. I have always felt comfortable and he always takes the time to explain everything really clearly. He has made house calls with some of test results and spent a hour talking with me about them despite us not being in the office. I have nothing but good things to say about him. I'm shocked at the negative reviews as he has been nothing but an amazing dr. I feel like he listens to me, addresses my concerns and he has NEVER rushed an appt. I don't ever leave feeling like my questions are unanswered. I never leave feeling anxious even when my test results are less then desirable. He has a way of explaining things and talking to his patients that make you feel very comfortable and like he cares about you. Not many drs can accomplish that but he can. He deserves a 10 star review on this 5 point scale in my opinion.

Quick waiting in area he was to the point in everything he explained to me even when I asked him to repeat something

David is a very knowledgable APRN. He has helped me with my diabetes and has explained everything step by step. I am assuming the people that are complaining of him being late, do not take into consideration that he spends his time with his clientele and doesn't make them feel rushed or not informed. Ihim and Dr. B. care very much about the people they take care of.

I am very proud to write a 5 star positive review of APRN, David Ohitnicky. At first I was hesitant to be seen by an Aprn. Little did I know that David would be so comprehensive, understanding, knowledgeable and he would change my life and my health. With His help I found the right medications, lost over 50 pounds, lowered my blood sugar, and regained my self confidence. David is a caring medical professional and a guardian angel. Because of him Diabetes no longer ruins my life! ??????
