I took my grandfather here because of all the good reviews and I am so glad I did! Dr. Scamard was very patient with my grandfather and explained everything very clearly. He took his time to go through the exam and see what kind of changes happened to my grandfather's eyes. I really recommend you get your eyes checked here. Everyone is really nice and helpful. Dr. Scamard was very thorough in his examination and managed to figure out what was going on with my eyes. I am really grateful that I came here, even as a walk-in, and got taken care of with little to no wait. Everyone working here is incredibly kind and they go above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience. They also have an amazing machine that takes pictures of the inside of your eyes in case you do not prefer to have the dilation with eye drops. I will certainly be bringing my family here and I will be back next year!

This doctor DOES NOT TAKE INSURANCE for exams!!! This is the only office I contacted that "chooses" to NOT take medicare optical insurance. Costco demands cash payments! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. SOUNDS LIKE "AGEISM"....which is both unconscionable and unconstitutional...horrible to treat all us senior citizens with such disdain! And BIAS!!! IMAGINE HOW MANY RETIRED EYES ARE IN THIS AREA!!!! SHAME ON COSTCO----AND SHAME ON DR. SCAMARD. How IRONIC his practice is called "Excellence In Eye Care," since he DOESN'T TREAT SENIORS---EXCEPT CASH.

Dr. Scamard was such a great help and my vision has never been better! I highly recommend getting your exam done with him. The office staff is efficient and very helpful. My whole family sees the doctor and we will definitely be back!

Dr. David Scamard, O. D. is the eye doctor inside Costco in Wesley Chapel, FL. He is absolutely wonderful and takes his time with you and explains everything so you know what is happening. He has modern equipment so you don't have to have your eyes dilated. Instead an x-ray type of picture is taken and put in your file for the next time. Schedule an appointment and you will be so pleased with his service! 5 stars all the way!

Dr. Scamard is an excellent doctor. He really cares about his patients and your eye health. He takes the time to explain any eye conditions. He makes sure that your eyeglasses and contacts work for you.
