David Weidenfeld, MSW

I’ve been a client of David’s for over three years now. He’s the first male therapist I’ve had, and to be honest I wasn’t sure at first. I am a woman who always had woman therapists and was concerned he wouldn’t be able to provide the empathy, reassurance, and care I needed with my mental health. Seeing as I’m still a client, the proof is in the pudding. I tell David he untangles the ball of yarn in my brain, which helps me create things in my life I used to only dream about. He is very accommodating with scheduling, thoughtful in his responses, and is a great guide to helping you learn more about yourself. I can’t say I always look forward to our sessions (because therapy is hard!) but I go knowing my feelings are valid and respected every time.

I’ve been David’s client for a number of years and have found him to be knowledgeable, empathetic, and genuine. He listens and contributes as appropriate and injects the right amount of humor and compassion without being distracting or patronizing. He’s present and attentive throughout our sessions together and has provided coping mechanisms and stress reducing techniques which have proven beneficial to me.
