My co-parent (who I don?t have the best relationship with) decided to look for a therapist for our kiddo and he found Davida. The first red flag is Davida started sessions with our child without meeting me or getting my consent first, but did manage to meet with my co-parent and his partner. I can?t imagine what therapist thinks that?s okay? When I did finally get to talk to her about her therapy style, she couldn?t concisely share her practices, therapeutic tools, approaches, anything. She spoke vaguely and broadly about her approaches which felt lacking and unsettling. She claimed she would keep both me and my co-parent informed about our kids progress?.she never did. And when I asked about various trainings she might have taken in working with oppressed populations (POC, LGBTQ, etc) she had NONE. Would NOT recommend this therapist to ANYONE. Our kid did not find the therapy helpful or productive at all.
