I started going to Lake Forest Pediatrics when my son James was around a year old. We saw maybe 3 other doctors at this place and I didn't really like or connect with them, I felt like a number. Then my son was scheduled with Dawn and that was it for our family, we found our Nurse Practitioner! Dawn sees both our kids. James is now 18 and Sophia is 11. She is always a breath of fresh air, very warm and caring. Dawn never rushes our appointments and asks the kids how they are doing, how is school going, how is our family doing - she is truly like family. Lake Forest Pediatrics is so lucky to have her and so are we! If you are a new parent or looking to switch, I highly recommend you make an appointment with Dawn - you can't go wrong!

She reported me to DCFS for neglect because I did not fill my son's asthma maintenance inhaler in a timely manner. I don't have insurance and it costs $190. I did fill the most important rescue inhaler Albuterol immediately though. DCFS ruled her report "unfounded" - I won! My family has been patients of Lake Forest Peds for 20 years combined, never had a problem til this. This was the first time Ms. Ribnek treated my son and she was judgemental. I do NOT recommend her. Choose other LF PEDS DOC
