I went to the ER at Thompson Hospital on July 27, 2021 at 10:30am per my 3 MD’s instructions for a blood transfusion. My gastroenterologist along with my hematologist joined by the head of anesthesiology at Strong Outpatient GI clinic are my medical doctors. Deanna, PA told me that I didn’t meet the criteria for a transfusion. Then she came in and told me my chest x-ray indicated that my heart was enlarged at 11:55am. The Chief Medical Officer, also an ER MD, came in to assure me that my heart was fine & had Deanna apologize. When the CMO came back at 2pm he expected that my transfusion was complete. Deanna never came back, nor did she follow up with the lab to get my blood to my room. The CMO did this for me along with my excellent nurses, Brian & Lauren, and my transfusion started at 2:40pm. Deanna finally reappeared to discharge me at 4.45pm. DO NOT ALLOW DEANNA TO TREAT YOU! She will let you sit forever.
