Deborah Casson had me as a patient for about one month before she abruptly terminated services with me which constitutes a violation of continuity of care for best practices. These treatment services caused more trauma and anxiety for me. It is “professionals” such as these which are deemed dangerous for the mental health community. I do not recommend ANYONE go to this woman. She ignores people while they’re talking, almost as if you’re talking to a wall. Further she prescribed medications that were contraindicative to my mental health needs which resulted in greater harm to my overall well-being. This experience with Deborah has instilled significant apprehension in me to seek out treatment in the world of mental health care providers.

Absolutely useless, not only does she not listen to her patients but she intentionally ignores new clients. I know this because my gp had to call her personally with me on the line to discuss getting an appointment. Additionally she provides zero patient support, you’re lucky to get an answer back regarding medication side effects and she will do everything in her power to short change you on time. My last appointment was five minutes of being spoken over and dismissed. She is too lazy to follow up with preauthorization‘s requiring you to check up on her like a toddler. To which she gives one or two word responses, then passes you off onto her secretary. She promises to help but falls laughably short of that promise. You’re better off consulting a magic eight ball about your problems instead of her.

I was looking for a psychiatrist for med management.Given this name Saw her approximately 5 times.Very knowledgable about tapering meds safely and initially starting new med.I alwrted to multiple side effects from new meds x3.Yes,there are side effects to all meds initially that generally dissapear overtime as body adjusts.I have ways been senisitive to SE of new meds. After almost daily GI effects, nausea diarrhea reflux headahes, confusion ,agitation being mean. She continued increase dosage of new med becauze she didnt feel dose was therapeutic. (ALL OVER A 6 MONTH TIME) For the 3rd & last time she did finally safely taper my meds. She is proffessional, but does not listen to clients, she has her own agenda!I also am a retired RN ,able to understand my own needs/condition.I was left w "mayb u should leave Premier Psychiatry. GOOD that I know where to go for future help,Others may not !!!

Forces people on meds...I wouldn't be surprised if she forced young kids on meds when they don't need anything. She has no personality and she is a horrible doctor...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Ms. Casson is part of a practice in Canandaigua called Metamorphosis. She has very little "bedside" manner, asks only very basic questions of the patient, and pushes medication for emotions that are normal to the point the patient is "zombied-out". She answers her cell phone during appointments, has files of her other patients in plain view, and prescribes medication unnecessarily. The Metamorphosis office itself is dark, dirty, and depressing. I was reluctant to even sit on the couch.
