I’d taken my very young son to see her for his distress after my divorce. She very quickly said she was more interested in seeing me. After four years, my son—whom she did not persist with— had a crisis, and I had to do go away with him for a while. When I came back, I tried to reach her to resume visits, still needing therapy. Four voicemails went unanswered. To this day, no explanation, no professional, courtesy of at least responding as to why she wouldn’t even answer voicemails of an old patient. A patient-ghoster!
