Debra Rizzo, FNP-C

Debra Rizzo saw me in place of the actual doctor at the specialist office I waited over a year to see. For nearly two years, I had been dealing with increased pain that's interfered heavily with my sleep, intense facial swelling, and a plethora of other issues that Nurse Rizzo condescendingly questioned. She continually dismissed my symptoms all because I was overweight. I felt unheard and completely overlooked by this "medical professional" who was in no way professional. Contrary to popular belief, being overweight isn't the cause of every medical issue.

Went to see her over a year ago. She disregarded my lab work and said nothing was wrong. After finding an accurate diagnosis tried to see her again where she said she would to follow up testing she didn't do and disregarded my diagnosis in which I have been under treatment elsewhere for. She refuses to give me a referral based upon u of m policy to see the actual rheumatologist because I am currently her patient. She doesn't do as she says and she is poor with communication. It shouldn't matter what type of insurance you have but clearly if you have insurance through the state it's clearly seen through your level of care.

Misdiagnosed, and mismedicated even for that diagnosis. She does not listen to patients... Complete waste of time.
