He had was very business like He never smiled. Maybe he was having a bad day

Rude & dismissive. Refused to discuss why he was prescribing antibiotic eye drops even though he did not test for infection inside eye & diagnosis on report received was Blepharitis of eyelid without indications of cause. Just asked me who sent you here & nurse will give you report before you leave & you can get prescription filled here before you leave. NO Thanks will not be accepting risks of antibiotic eye drops in my eyes without proof of infection inside eye. Only went back to him because I wanted my current screenings compared to the ones from 3 years ago & he was rude then. Had told him at beginning of appointment two doctors had told me to get screenings in past 6 months & why. Guess he forgot while techs were doing all of the screenings.

I took my father to see Dr. Matthews for his blurred vision. Matthews was very brusque and rude to my father and me. He seemed extremely annoyed and angry. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but his attitude towards us and the staff was terrible! The staff, on the other hand, was wonderful and extremely helpful. He got the job done, but not without yelling at staff and making my father feel as if he should apologize for bad eyesight at 83 years old (my dad actually apologized at one point!)

I haven't seen Dr. Matthews since in the 90's at Omni Eye Care along with Dr Daniel Wessinger. I remember Dr Mathews being very nice and professional and he is who diagnosed my glaucoma.
