Amazing Psychiatrist
I can't speak more highly of Doctor Vancamp. What I appreciated the most about him was his patient demeanor, thorough explanation of information, and overall genuine empathy & compassion for his patients. He has your back and was a huge help to both my fiance and me. I would highly recommend him!!

Teen Son
My teen son was referred by his therapist to Dr. VanCamp. We met with him the other day and he is absolutely every bit as wonderful as she said he would be. My son immediately connected to him and established a level of trust I’ve never seen with any other provider. Dr. VanCamp has a gift and I couldn’t be more pleased that we found him. Would highly recommend!

Caring & Compassionate Provider
I had the privilege and pleasure of working alongside Dr. Vancamp for the past 6 months. I got to witness the best of the best in action. He is by far the best mental health provider out there. His ability to explain things in great detail coupled with his down-to-earth demeanor puts even the most anxious at ease. I have learned so much from Dr. VanCamp that I will take with me into my career and am so blessed to have been able to learn from him. He is not only a shining star in the field of mental health, but in all that he does both professionally and personally.

Very Professional & Competent
In my experience with Dr. VanCamp I found him to be extremely professional and competent. I appreciated his holistic approach prior to considering medicine, but, ultimately, he really took time to understand the nuances of my life and how medication might help. I appreciate that he was very quick to recognize that another one of my medications would potentially interact with treatment. He communicates in an easy-going,relaxed manner and provided me with some much needed peace of mind. I would highly recommend him.

My new sense of positivity has allowed me to share his best practices with my family and friends for an enriching experience. I highly recommend Dr. VanCamp for navigating challenges related to stress, anxiety, fear, relationship coaching, and more. I called on July 16, 2021, and secured an appointment with Dr. VanCamp for Monday, Aug. 2nd at 9 am. This was for my teenager dealing with suicide ideation. I filled out all the forms and gave my insurance info on the 16th. I received a call and an email on the Friday before the appt. at 4:57 PM stating that they could not get in touch with my insurance (BC/BS PPO) so the appointment was cancelled. The office had 2 full weeks to figure all of this out. Who cancels a mental health appointment scheduled for a Monday - 3 minutes before the start of a weekend!? I'll tell you who - Dr. VanCamp's office. If it was possible to give less than zero stars, I would.

Met via telehealth. This was my first experience with a psychiatrist and I was very nervous. He helped me feel relaxed right away and guided the whole conversation. I haven't had any other visits to compare him to, but I felt he was incredibly thorough, personable, totally on point, and would/will 100 percent recommend him.

Truly the only reason I was going to Westlake Psychiatry. Not sure where he is practicing now but guess I'll keep Googling until I might find him. He just has a way of connecting that's difficult to explain but very authentic. God bless you doctor. You lifted me from a very dark place and my family and I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. I always looked forward to our visits and hope to continue care with you soon.

I was at an all time low the first time I met with Dr. Vancamp. He was extremely compassionate, and knowledgeable about what I was going through and was spot on regarding my treatment. I’ve been thriving since. I highly recommend reaching out to him and putting yourself in his care. He is trustworthy, smart and he cares about your wellbeing.

Stop! Don't go any further! You are lucky to have found the most wonderful doctor in LA. I've been searching for a doctor to treat my psychological problems for over 5 years and I have finally hit the jackpot. Dr. VanCamp is the most caring, considerate and kind Doctor I have ever met. He genuinely cares about his patience and renders superb care. He listens to you and responds accordingly. Don't hesitate to call him for an appointment. Such a nice man. I was panicked by a family member's issue and he quickly returned my call and spent 30 minutes with me on the phone. It was outside business hours so his dedication to caring for my family put me at ease. He has a really nice calming voice which I'm sure is great for psychiatry. Highly recommended!
