From Suicidal to Serenity
Devan treated me for Chronic Substance Abuse Disorder. I have been in treatment with him for over 8 years. Since then, he has brought me to the point of “Serenity”. There are no words that can be expressed to show the feeling that I felt when he said that he could tell I have reached that point and life. He has shown me how to not only live life in recovery, but also how to enjoy it and be proud of myself and who I’ve become. I have been through 13 treatment facilities and 1 VA Domiciliary and several suicide attempts, only to be deemed Chronic and hopeless. Since the VA referred my treatment to Devan, I now enjoy a fulfilling life. He taught me to be honest with myself first and trust that, with some self effort, live this life that I have now. I am forever indebted to him for that!
