Best DBT Therapist
I've been seeing Diana Partington for DBT therapy for over 6 months. I attend one of her weekly DBT group therapy sessions, which is a lot like a class that teaches a new skill every week for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal skills. I've done traditional talk therapy and CBT with other therapists before, and I had little long term improvement. Diana is quite different. The skills I am learning give me ways to handle things that occur every day, and they have changed my relationships both at work and at home. I have significantly reduced both anxiety and depression, and I have basically come up with a system (through this DBT group) to live healthy and happy life. I know it sounds trite, but it's been life changing. I don't have BPD and you don't have to have BPD (or any mental "problem") to get a lot out of DBT. She's the best DBT therapist. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

DBT
Diana has a wealth of knowledge about DBT and she teaches skills using warmth, humor, and humanity. I have learned so much about myself during my time in group, and I have been motivated to make some positive changes in my life. Group is never dry or boring! Diana uses real-world clips, readings, exercises, and activities to illustrate each concept. As a practioner, she is approachable, accessible, and will meet you where you are at. I truly appreciate all that I've learned so far on this journey.

Very healing groups
As a helping professional who had the opportunity to join a DBT group, I was made a believer even after just one group session. I was blown away at the effectiveness of the interventions Diana led as well as the connection she fosters within the group. I highly recommend this DBT for Life group for yourself or a loved one, and would not hesitate to refer to her.

I have attended Diana's weekly DBT skills group for 2-3 months, and would recommend the group to family and friends. Diana uses Marsha Linehan's book as a reference, but she also prepares lessons that incorporate meditation, journal exercises, and other reference materials and worksheets that add extra dimension to the groups and what we're learning. I didn't know much about DBT before I started, and I was really struggling with acute PTSD from an abusive relationship. Both my therapist and sponsor thought DBT would really help me. I'm very glad I joined the group. Diana has been incredibly kind since day one. I feel like she understands my struggles, and genuinely loves teaching DBT. I can already feel the benefits of learning these new skills, and my friends say they see an improvement in my general disposition as well.

Diana is the honestly best therapist I have ever had the good fortune of finding. I was so terrified to reach out initially because of the stigma some therapists have had with BPD in my past. But she has been nothing but wonderful. She has been so consistent, caring, validating, and insightful. She has helped me with the challenges of OCD and BPD and helped me navigate the trial, errors, and successes of learning the DBT skills. For the first time I feel like I have the emotional confidence to handle the challenges that life gives. She has challenged me, encouraged me, and helped me to find the gift of trusting myself. I can not recommend her enough.

I first met Diana in a DBT group where she said something so helpful yet hilarious. I immediately thought I need her to my primary therapist. At the time, I had BPD and really struggled with most of my interpersonal relationships and my self esteem. I was newly sober and dealing with so much repressed trauma. Diana taught me DBT skills that helped me cope with all the new intense emotions I was feeling. She constantly validated me and shared stories with me that made me feel less alone. Diana is the perfect combination of professional and personal! She is the only therapist I have had where I felt truly cared about as an individual. One of our last sessions was spent going over the BPD symptoms in the DSM and reflecting on how I no longer had any of them. She helped me get to a comfortable and happy place in my life that I never thought I was capable of before. Thanks to her I have stable relationships with my friends and family and the ability to trust my own wise mind.
