Donna Wilburn, LMFT

Now that my children are adults, I am leaving a review to help others. Donna threatened to take custody away from me and place them in the hands of their father, the abuser through the court!!! She is a liar and a narcissist who sides with other narcissistic parents! She refused to involve me (per the court order) in my child's reunification with their father and further damaged my children! She traumatized my children and accused me of inappropriate behavior when bringing the kids to therapy. Donna's words via email... 'Reminder: If the girls behave in an anxious or stressed manner then I will INCREASE their time with their dad ASAP. If they STILL have a hard time, then I may have to temporarily INCREASE their time even more even if that means temporarily changing the schedule.' My kids were anxious and stressed because they were being sent back to visit their abuser and she did not believe my kids!! Please keep your family AWAY from her at ALL cost!!!

Donna Wilburn is a nasty person. She was very biased and had no problem lying about anything and everything. I’ve never met such an uncaring person before, especially one in her career field. Do not use this so called therapist. Scary how she can be around children when she cares less about their well being.

Stay very far away from Donna and do not let your children anywhere near her. Donna cannot be trusted and will lie in court without any remorse. She is manipulative and has ever gone so far as to post on this site under other names or anonymously. My personal experience with Donna was traumatic and so far beyond the scope of what I would consider reasonable that my family remains disrupted today because of her. As for the other comment that references "Karen", clearly that is either Donna herself or someone she asked to post, she uses that term frequently. What kind of mental health professional would ever use that term? Simply put, she is an awful person and a danger to children.

I called her out on a direct lie that she sent to another counselor to be forwarded to the court system. She was so shocked that I called her out in the group email, that she also apologized in the group email. Character -10 recover +3 I just think you should look at the fact that she has more 1 star reviews than 4 and 5 star reviews combined. Are you still here?

donna is a manipulator interested only in money

while I am not involved with Donna directly, my spouse is, I can not believe all the lies she is accused of on these reviews. everyone has to be a “Karen” and likely not own up. Donna has been fair with my spouse and their ex partner. while our child is very young still, learning to talk, Donna was nothing but kind towards everyone and takes the time to listen to concerns and handle them accordingly. she is NOT biased siding with just men, she does not chase a penny and she has been very thorough. thanks for the continued help for our family and situation Donna!

I was unsure and had anxiety through the roof when we hired her, based SOLELY off of what people, who claimed they had experienced, had to say. But I gave it the chance and am glad that I did. I highly recommend Donna and urge you to let her help you if given the chance! She gets it. She understands things. And again, there will always be negative feedback. Remind yourself this — you’re hearing one side, nothing more. Every single thing (100% of) that was ever told me in a negative light about her, didn’t happen. She’s been great! She handles things accordingly and in a very professional manner.

Do not ever ever ever use this person. I would give her no stars if i could. She will only work for the parent who is paying her. She will lie and manipulate your child. She will scare your child and make them believe it's their fault. She is only out for money. She is only an mft If you truly need someone pick a therapist with Phd next to it. Especially if it comes to your child.

Donna Wilburn should NOT have access to any child. She believes she can decide on a diagnosis in an hour? She cannot speak to children as she leaves them crying, telling them they are lying. She tries to act as judge, jury, and executioner. One hour to decide a child's life... DO NOT USE HER FOR ANY REASON. SHE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE, AND YOUR CHILD'S LIFE.

Donna was instrumental in having my child removed from my custody to give the other parent sole custody for an extended period of time with no proof or evidence of false accusations. Donna wrote untrue reports to the judge involved. Supervised visitation was then put in place bu it was almost impossible to to schedule the visits. After removing the child from my my life Donna started shares stories on how destructive it is for a child to have a parent removed from the child's life. Donna is a hypocrite and a liar and works for the parent who pays her. Donna cares nothing about about the child's well being or happiness. She is a narcissist who only cares about the payment made to her and who'spayning her.

Donna is empathetic caring and super smart. She gets it and she takes the time to understand you.She was able to help my with my children Donna is truly One of the Best.Thank you Donna for helping me.

Donna has helped me in more ways than words can describe! She helped, in ALL areas of my life & also helped me survive some Very, Very, Very difficult times I am now living out many of my dreams and continue to dream big, thanks to Donna. I would recommend her to anyone who who is ready and wants to transform their lives!

Donna is a terrific counselor. Our whole family has worked with her on and off for years and we are so much healthier as a result. She has taught us so much and we are fortunate to have her as a resource. She doesn't keep clients coming back forever to complain only to pad her pockets. She is focused on problem solving. I highly recommend her to anyone who thinks they could use information and support to improve themselves, their relationship or their parenting.

Donna helped me change my life. I was in a troubled marriage and found out more about myself than I ever set out for. She truly changed how I view people. I'm more patient with myself and others. It's all a journey and if we can try to see others for their journeys as well, we would all be a little happier. I recommend Donna to anyone looking for answers. She won't tell you what to do, but she will help you sort through the mud. I have never been more happy.
