Dr. Ebony Funches, DNP

My experience with Funches was the perfect example of everything dysfunctional about the medical system. I have two Vertabra compression fracture's in my thoracic spine from an accident years back and had brought forth an X ray that clearly showed this issue to hopefully be directed to an appropriate doctor that could address everything accordingly. I had previously visited the ER two weeks prior from experiencing severe back pain where I was told I was simply having a panic attack. I stood my ground and requested that I receive an X ray which revealed an exaggerated kyphosis of the spine. Something I assumed I suffered from but through my own perseverance against a broken medical system could now confirm. As she reviewed both the X ray with seemingly little knowledge she left to go speak to the therapist within the clinic. She came back and requested that we see her as well as taking a drug test. Came back clean... I hope this review validates anyone else's poor experience.

Ebony was my PCP nurse practitioner. She was always kind and an attentive listener. After years of dealing with mental health challenges and facing dismissive attitudes from other doctors, she was the first to initiate additional tests to address my concerns. Subsequently, she also managed my medication following the transfer of my psychiatrist. Ebony also made modifications to my medications – a step my previous psychiatrist had neglected, despite enduring months of adverse effects and inadequate results.

Dr. Ebony Funches diagnosed me with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. After listening to my concerns about being on medicine, she prescribed a low dose medicine, which I was comfortable with. I'm happy to say, thanks to her suggestions, my numbers have come down and I'm happy to have her as my doctor/np.

I waited two hours to see her and she couldn’t wait to get rid of me I asked her to check my ears because they were hurting me and she told me wait until my next appointment because she was almost done with her day and that would take too long My next appointment was 3 months away

Met her first time yesterday was neglectfully referred to her the office misrepresented her as an MD I'm disabled in severe pain hip trauma and severe Cervical spine death wake up choking... take diazepam at night it relaxes my muscles so I may have relief of permanent damage this arrogant woman flew into my exam room yesterday saying first thing " I only have 15 minutes she gave me 5 failing to examine me then treated me like a drug addict refusing to refill vital meds abandoning me stay away!!
