I have to agree with other poor reviews, and I'm not one to leave reviews very often. She did not seem to care much about why I was there, was quick to move through things, and the worst part was she removed skin to have two moles biopsied and did NOT even tell me what was going to be happening, just stuck me with a needle to numb and scraped the skin sample she needed. I do hope others read reviews before seeing this provider!

I was concerned about a growth on my finger and several dark spots on my back. I asked my primary care doctor to recommend a dermatologist. The clinic made an appointment with Elena Giese. I felt rushed from the minute I got to the appointment although there was no one else in the waiting room. She told me the growths on my back would be considered cosmetic surgery if she removed them. That is total BS because I have had suspicious growths removed before and never had a problem with my insurance paying for it. She removed the growth on my finger and slapped a band aid on the wound. When I changed the band aid I could see several layers of skin because the hole was almost too the bone. She was too lazy to put a stitch on the wound which would have helped it heal. It took over a month for the wound to heal and now I have a large dark scar on my finger. I completed an evaluation on the visit and I lied. I gave her a good review but immediately regretted it and sent an email to

I am not here to bash, but to help others from making the same mistake I unknowingly made. It is a complete waste of money to see this physician. She did not appear to care about why we were there to see her. We were there for a follow up from a month prior and she didn't even know where the skin concern was nor did she even ask to see it! She walked in started talking about things that were unrelated and wasn't asking questions to seek to understand. She just seemed to like to talk. She also made a disrespectful comment to my 4 year old daughter about not looking very happy. Um, she has a mask on! I cannot recommend her.

I would not recommend her as a dermatology provider. She did not address my concerns at my visit and brushed off what I wanted her to look at. My appointment was at 9 and she came into my room at 925 and my exam last less than 3 minutes. She was so quick and when I asked her about another spot she just waved her hand at me and walked out. She was the only Derm provider in our little town and when she went on vacation she never returned from it abandoning all of us. Terrible terrible person

I was being treated, if you can call it that, by Elena in New Mexico. She is very unprofessional. She did not listen to my concerns and even argued with me when I wanted a full body check because I have a history of melanoma. She never spent any longer than 5 minutes with me and abandoned her patients here in our small town. I suggest going to see any other provider than Elena if you want something done right
