ignorant, dismissive of tests and symptoms
My wife saw Elizabeth Burns after a referral when she had a positive ANA test and positive anti dsDNA. This was about a month after tests showing low glucose, low platelets, and low BUN. Elizabeth did not review her chart before meeting with her. She dismissed the tests and ignored my wife's symptoms (urinating blood, urinating ~8 times per night, newly onset extremity joint pain) and said she probably has fibromyalgia and depression, treating her like a hypochondriac. She recommended a therapist. I'm a psychologist, and my wife has not one symptom of depression or other mood/anxiety disorder. Elizabeth never gave my wife a depression screener or heard a single symptom of depression. Depression doesn't cause you to pee blood. By the way, we just got back the protein/creatinine urine test, which is in the severe range and means likely kidney damage. It's only a matter of time before this level of incompetence results in a malpractice suit.
