I've seen a lot of terrible therapists at Cherokee Health Systems, but my meeting with Elizabeth Anne Nelson, aka Liz, was by far the most time-wasting. She asked me if I would like to have sessions every other week, I said yes, and then due to her busy schedule, she scheduled it three weeks out, aka why even asked me? I tried to explain my problems to her and she always interrupted me with the same two questions "How do you know that about trauma or who told you that?" If my sessions were longer than 25 Minutes, it probably wouldn't be a big deal but because they are so short I can’t find my thoughts again after she derails me. A session with her is like talking in front of a blank wall because you leave the session with nothing new but a waste of time. In closing therapy sessions lasting 25 Minutes every couple of weeks are pointless and just a waste of time for the egotistical sake of "Helping more people." However, in reality, providing subpar service serves only the organization's financial interests. I did seven sessions with Elizabeth and never felt any relief from my symptoms, the scheduling was beyond erratic, so there was no routine or consistency, it honestly made me feel more chaotic going there, and the sessions were not long enough for me to ever feel comfortable or safe ?? It felt to me like she had no clue how to help
