Elizabeth Wilhem, PA-C

I saw this physician 2 years ago with sleep and neurological disturbances. She dismissed me so easily and refused to do a referral. I changed doctors and have spent years tracking down care. Currently in neurological crisis that could have been potentially mediated if this individual had listened.

Did not listen to what I was saying. Explained something to her and she responded negatively — turns out she misunderstood what I was explaining. Last visit she gave me a hard time for not bringing my cPap machine, but this time said I didn’t need it. The appointments feel rushed and she feels like she’s checking things off her list to move on. She doesn’t care truly about my needs as a patient.

I saw PA Wilhem to receive a consultation in regards to possible sleep apnea or other sleep disorders. From the moment she sat down, I was consistently talked over, ignored in my concerns, and at one point treated in very much the manner one might treat a child who isn't paying attention. While actively responding to her questions- not just "uh-huh" or "nuh-uh," but actively responding- I was searching my phone to show her a recording I'd taken of some strange noises my body made while sleeping. She said, and I'm paraphrasing here: "well, when you're done on your phone, we can get back to the visit." She consistently made mention of my psychiatric health, and I felt completely dismissed by her, despite having, in her words, "borderline" symptoms of apnea in a previous sleep study. I would NOT recommend PA Wilhem, and would recommend anyone else in this practice.
