Ellen Grayson, MSW

Ellen Grayson is very professional. She is an amazing therapist. I’ve been seeing her for years. She’s very informative and helpful. I trust her and she has never steered me wrong. I recommend her to anyone seeking counseling, from adults to children.

I have been seeing Ellen Grayson for several years and she has helped me tremendously. She is honest(which sometimes hurts), trustworthy, explains things well and helps you understand what things mean. I have graduated seeing her and she welcomes me back whenever I need to talk to her. I would definitely recommend her as a therapist.

This is my second post about Ellen. She has never talked AT me. She listens and makes suggestions but has only once shared a personal opinion. I respect her for that; she is not judgmental but works with me to solve problems and helps me to see different perspectives. I highly recommend her for her compassion and also because she is constantly providing me with numerous resources.

I needed counseling for my then six year old son (now nine) who the school psychologist suspected of PTSD from the many surgeries he had from the time he was born for a birth defect. We had a great deal of difficulty finding someone to treat a child so young. A case manager at our health insurance gave us Ms. Grayson’s name and I am very glad they did. She had the experience to get to the actual root cause of my son’s issues and get him on track. She later counseled his sister who was having shyness and social issues effectively. She is just wonderful with children and uses many methods depending Dinh on the child and age from role playing, games and just counseling depending on the age and need. When I had work related stresses I wanted counseling for I also went to Ms. Grayson. She helped me work though my issues quickly and effectively. Ms. Grayson has very flexible appointment scheduling also. I would highly recommend her for both adult or child counseling.

I wouldn't recommend her. If you are looking for marriage counseling, Ellen Grayson is not a good choice. She spent the first three sessions talking at us and she didn't even ask my husband and myself any questions. She also told us on our second session that we weren't going to make it.
