I am extremely grateful that I was given the opportunity to be Emily's client. She provides a safe space that makes communication easy and comfortable and her vast knowledge of her work shines through. She is attentive, compassionate, thoughtful, and kind, and her friendly demeanor made it easy to talk about any situation, big or small. She provides very practical and applicable tools for coping and always has her client's best interest. I truly could not have asked for a better therapist and would recommend Emily to anyone seeking support!

Emily is patient, caring, and an active listener who makes every experience being discussed feel important and understood. She quickly gets to the root causes of issues and provides tools to address those causes rather than the symptoms alone. These tools are tailored to an individual's personality, character, and life experiences, and they are applicable on a daily basis so that negative thought patterns can be recognized and broken and healthy habits form over time. Emily also approaches mental wellness as an ongoing process, so she encourages self-reflection, especially on moments of growth or challenges that were overcome, which helps bring mental issues that previously seemed unmanageable back under conscious control. Her friendly, supportive environment makes it easy to talk even from the first appointment, and it never feels as if any issue is too small to merit discussion.

Emily is thoughtful, compassionate, and focuses on an individual’s strengths to teach strategies to work through challenges. She creates an environment in her practice that allows for comfort in sharing personal struggles and asking for support without judgment. She holds space for self reflection and self acceptance. Her recommendations are extremely practical and easy to implement in daily life. Ms. Planz is cool. She’s really easy to talk to, and she’ll try and relate to you you either give you advice or help with coping mechanisms. She’s really good at her job.
