The reason for my one star review is this doctor is running a profit centric practice instead of a patient centric practice. I didn't want all the unnecessary tests offered and he got red in the face and not as nice suddenly. He didn't offer any scientific information to inform me of why a healthy person with zero health issues or eye problems or history of eye problems in the family, should take these tests and I declined. He informed me that I can't be his patient if I don't allow him to do these tests. Very telling to my point.
In regard to the Optomap laser retinal scan, this is what the Mayo Clinic has to say: "For most people, a laser retina scan isn't necessary. If you choose a laser retina scan, make sure it's in addition to a traditional eye exam with dilation....although retinal scans can detect some retinal abnormalities, the scans have limitations. They may not detect issues on outside edges of the retinas where serious problems can occur..." Need I say more?
