Dismissive Care: Neglecting Women's Cardiovascular
My cardiovascular concerns, including an enlarged ascending, descending aorta; confirmed nutcracker syndrome; tricuspid regurgitation history; and signs of infection; were dismissed during my visit. Despite my severe intracranial hypertension, which contributed to my previous CSF leak—the focus was only on CSF; and my serious cardiovascular concerns were not properly addressed. He also overlooked aspects of my medical history, including arrhythmia, poor R wave, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and a family history of aneurysms. I was discharged without follow-up on preliminary EKG results, which I had to track down through medical records. The failure to consider my risk factors for connective tissue disorders & infection made me feel unheard and left me still symptomatic. My concerns were not properly addressed, which raises significant questions about the quality of care provided. I encountered resistance when requesting necessary imaging. Only review I've ever bothered to write. That bad.

My 76 year old mother went into the ER while on blood thinners for a blood clot. She has symptoms that changed and was in pain. Her primary doctor told her to go in. Mr. Kinzer shamed her for coming in ('you don't need to be here' and 'don't come back') and told her to stay home unless she has 3 symptoms of concern. She has an active blood clot! We don't need our mother afraid to go into the ER when symptoms change. He has a horrible bedside manner!
