As a parent, I was hesitant to see Erin because of her age and lack of children herself. However, what I quickly realized was her ability to recognize firsthand the challenges of a teen today, allowed me to see the struggles my teens are rountinely faced with in an entirely different light. It empowered me to offer new methods of connection with my children in ways that they respond well to. It has opened new channels of respect and empathy and I am glad my assumptions weren’t proven wrong!
