Erin Venker, LPCC

Erin is, quite simply, a superlative therapist. I sought her assistance for my OCD, having seen two prior therapists - one helpful, one not so much. Erin far surpasses them both. She is flexible - e.g., she can meet via video conference, always a nice thing in a post-COVID world - caring, understanding, but not hesitant to administer "tough love". In other words, she is not going to indulge your OCD by providing reassurance, which is a good thing! In addition, while providing verbal therapy, Erin will also provide written and video materials to review - as someone who values the ability to review and expand upon what is discussed in therapy, I find this quite helpful - and will actually have you perform OCD exposures (i.e., exercises) during your sessions. While these can be uncomfortable, they are invaluable to recovery, and a marked difference from how my previous therapists operated. Also, Erin is available in-between appointments for emergency sessions as well as one-off questions / coaching. This is a lifesaver for OCD flare-ups. The bottom line is that Erin is a game changer when it comes to getting help for OCD. I cannot recommend her enough.
