Gene was my third therapist and I knew the day I met him that I had finally found the one for me. He is a kind, compassionate, knowledgeable man with a wonderful sense of humor and an ability to make one feel heard and genuinely cared about. He is quite competent and steadfast when necessary and always tells you what you need to hear. He never failed to make himself available to me when I was going through rough times. His help was invaluable and I’m forever grateful. He has shown me so much about myself that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

He’s also relentless and won’t just tell you what you want to hear, he will help you face yourself. Finally, Gene has a great sense of humor and makes the therapy more interesting. Gene consistently shows concern about all aspects of my life and is extremely helpful in not only identifying ways in which I can improve my communications and handling all kinds of situations as well as offering helpful and dead on analyses of situations and suggestions about dealing successfully with them. He follows up with concern and compassion and is always there for me when I need him. I teach and have sent a couple of students to him for counseling and guidance help and they report back how helpful he has been.
