Francesca Alesi

Dr. Alesi is a highly respected clinical psychologist and mental health provider. As her colleague in the field, I trust her clinical judgment and empathic stance. Dr. Alesi is a valued well trained psychologist in the DMV area to whom I without hesitation refer patients due to her professionalism, strong ethics and high quality services she provides.

I got talked into staying with her for way too long, because she made it sound like if I stuck with it, things were going to improve. Now it's two years later, and I have all the same issues, plus I'm afraid to talk to another therapist, because I'm afraid of being sucked into spinning my wheels getting nowhere for years. Francesca promised me that she'd treat me in a limited number of sessions, and when I made no progress, she kept promising. She also has a bad memory for what was said in sessions, and keeps repeating distorted or misremembered versions, which bogs down therapy and erodes trust. Please don't damage your mental health by working with her the way I damaged mine. I don't know if I have it in me to recover from the mental health harm from wasting all that time with a therapist who couldn't listen to and remember what I was saying.
